Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on ordering from Cyntara Biotech in Malaysia — shipping, payment, third-party testing, storage, and our research-use-only policy.

Orders & Shipping

Do you ship throughout Malaysia?

Yes. We deliver to every state in Malaysia. Orders are dispatched from our Kuala Lumpur fulfilment centre, so most parcels stay entirely within the domestic courier network.

How much does shipping cost?

Orders above RM 100.00 qualify for free shipping. For small orders below RM 100.00, standard shipping is a flat rate of RM 8.00 within Peninsular Malaysia and RM 15.00 to Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Orders placed before 2:00 PM (MYT) on a working day are dispatched the same day. Peninsular Malaysia deliveries typically arrive within 1–3 working days. East Malaysia typically takes 3–5 working days. Public holidays and courier peaks (Raya, year-end) may add one to two days.

Which couriers do you use?

Depending on destination and parcel weight, we ship via established courier partners. The courier is selected at pack time to give you the fastest route — you will receive the tracking number and carrier name in your dispatch email.

Are there any special notes for Sabah and Sarawak orders?

Deliveries to East Malaysia typically arrive within 3–5 working days. Remote postcodes in the interior may take longer. Because our vials are supplied in the lyophilised (freeze-dried) state, the additional transit time does not affect product stability.

Do you ship internationally?

At present Cyntara Biotech ships within Malaysia only. Cross-border orders raise import and research-material controls that vary by country, and we are not in a position to advise on those. International availability may be introduced later — check back or subscribe to our newsletter for updates.

Can I track my order?

Yes. Once your order is picked up by the courier you will receive an email with the tracking number and a link to the carrier's tracking page. You can also view tracking under My Account → Orders.

Is packaging discreet?

Yes. Every order ships in a plain outer carton with no product names, ingredients, or Cyntara branding on the exterior. Inside, vials are protected by a custom magnetic presentation box with foam inlay so nothing rattles in transit.

What if my parcel arrives damaged, or an item is missing?

Please contact us at info@cyntarabiotech.com within 24 hours of receiving your parcel with your order number and clear photos of the outer carton, inner packaging, and the affected vial. Due to the nature of research materials, we cannot accept returns for change-of-mind reasons. If there is an issue with the vials (damaged, defective, or missing), we will replace or refund at no cost to you.

Payment & Pricing

Which payment methods do you accept?

Checkout is processed by our Malaysian payment gateway. You can pay by Visa, Mastercard, and American Express credit or debit cards, FPX online banking (all major Malaysian banks), and supported e-wallets including GrabPay and Touch 'n Go eWallet. Available options may vary by device and card issuer.

What currency are prices shown in?

All prices on the site are displayed and charged in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR / RM).

Will I receive an invoice or receipt?

Yes. An invoice is emailed automatically once payment is confirmed, and a copy is stored under My Account → Orders for download at any time.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Card and banking details are captured directly by our payment gateway provider in a PCI-DSS compliant environment. Cyntara Biotech does not see or store your full card number.

Products & Quality

What are research peptides?

Short chains of amino acids used in laboratory and preclinical research. They are tools for studying biological processes — from tissue biology to metabolic pathways to cellular signalling. Every peptide we sell is for research use only.

Are your peptides third-party tested?

Yes. Every batch we stock is independently verified by Janoshik Analytical, an accredited laboratory in the Czech Republic. Janoshik specialises in peptide analysis and is known as the “Gold Standard” of peptide testing. The scope of testing for each batch — HPLC purity, content, and mass spectrometry identity — is listed on the Certificate of Analysis linked from that product's page. For best-selling products, we commission additional tests for endotoxin and sterility.

What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?

A COA is the laboratory report for a specific batch. It documents which tests were performed and the result of each — for example, HPLC purity, mass spectrometry identity match, endotoxin level, or sterility. A COA proves only what appears on it: if a test is not listed, it was not part of that report's scope.

How do I find the COA for the batch I received?

You may check the product's COA against the batch listing in our Lab Reports library to open the Janoshik report for that exact batch.

What is HPLC purity testing?

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography separates a sample into its individual components and measures the proportion of each. For a peptide, the HPLC purity figure is the percentage of the sample that matches the target compound. A 99% result means less than 1% of the sample is impurities or degradation products.

What is mass spectrometry?

Mass spectrometry confirms the identity of a compound by measuring its molecular weight. If the measured mass matches the theoretical mass of the target peptide, that is strong evidence the correct compound was made. Mass spec confirms identity; HPLC confirms purity. Both are needed for a full picture.

What is endotoxin testing?

Endotoxins are toxic fragments from certain bacteria that can affect research results even in tiny amounts. Endotoxin testing measures how much (if any) is present in a batch.

What is sterility testing?

Sterility testing checks whether a batch is free from live bacteria, yeast, and moulds. It is separate from purity testing — a peptide can be highly pure but still not sterile.

Where are your peptides manufactured?

Our peptides are synthesised by our trusted manufacturing partner in China. Yes — synthesis happens in China, because that is where it happens for the entire industry. The difference is verification. Every batch gets independently tested before we stock it.

How do you maintain batch consistency?

Every incoming batch is independently tested and documented before we stock it. Because we buy each product as a single bulk lot, every vial you receive comes from that same verified batch — so the COA on the product page reflects exactly what's in your order.

Storage & Handling

How should peptides be stored?

Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are stable at room temperature, but should be kept refrigerated (2–8°C) for long-term storage, or frozen (−20°C) if held for many months. Keep them away from direct light and humidity. Our magnetic presentation box is designed to double as protective storage inside a lab fridge.

What is bacteriostatic water, and do you include it?

Bacteriostatic water is sterile water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, commonly used in laboratory research to reconstitute lyophilised peptides. Cyntara includes a 3 ML vial of BAC Water free with every peptide vial. For NAD+, Glutathione, and GHK-Cu, a 10 ML vial is included due to their higher reconstitution volume requirements.

How should reconstituted peptides be stored?

Once reconstituted, peptide solutions should be refrigerated at 2–8°C, protected from light, and used within the stability window documented for that specific peptide. Do not leave it at room temperature for more than one hour. Reconstituted solutions are generally less stable than the lyophilised powder.

Research Use & Regulatory

What does “Research Use Only” mean?

Research Use Only (RUO) means the product is supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and scientific investigation. RUO products are not medicines, supplements, or food. They have not been evaluated for safety or efficacy in humans by any regulator.

Are your products registered with the NPRA or Ministry of Health?

No. Cyntara Biotech products are research materials, not registered medicinal products, and are not within the scope of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) registration framework for medicines. They are supplied under Malaysian law for laboratory research use only.

Who can order from Cyntara Biotech?

Our products are intended for researchers, laboratories, and institutions in Malaysia purchasing materials for legitimate in-vitro research. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that the products will be used solely for research purposes, and that you will not administer them to humans or animals.

Can Cyntara Biotech advise on dosing or clinical use?

No. Cyntara Biotech does not provide clinical, therapeutic, or dosing advice, and none of our staff are qualified to do so. Any question that concerns human application should be directed to a licensed medical practitioner. Our team can only assist with product, order, and analytical questions.
